These terms explain your rights and responsibilities when using Markly. By continuing to use the platform, you agree to the terms below.
1. Acceptance and Scope
By accessing or using Markly, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
These terms apply to students, parents, teachers, and school staff using our services.
2. Service Description
Markly provides AI-powered writing practice and feedback for IB, AP Languages, AP Literacy, Common Core, and other writing programs. Features may include prompts, timers, rubric-based marking, progress tracking, and classroom integrations.
3. Accounts and Responsible Use
- Keep your login credentials secure.
- Use the service for lawful educational purposes only.
- Do not attempt to abuse, disrupt, or reverse engineer the platform.
- Parents and educators are responsible for supervising student use where required.
4. Third-Party Services
Markly may integrate with third-party services, such as LMS providers. Your use of those integrations is also governed by the third party's terms and privacy policy.
5. Content and Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of your submitted writing. You grant Markly a limited license to process that content in order to operate, improve, and support the service.
Platform code, branding, and non-user materials remain the property of Markly or its licensors.
6. Availability and Liability
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may update, pause, or discontinue features at any time.
To the extent permitted by law, Markly is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
